Thank You Bag

How neat is this? I love it. A reusable thank you bag. And it looks so cool too. Plus it's even got a neat description.

Thank You Bag

By Ina Weise

I’m not crazy about telling everyone not to use plastic bags. I know they can be very useful. But since I’ve been living in the US it is very hard to ignore the mass amounts of plastic bags everywhere. Everyone keeps them stuffed into one that hangs from the pantry door. They line trash bins. They carry food even if it is just a single pack of gum. They flutter from trees. They float in the breeze. They clog roadside drains. There are so many everywhere that no one really treats them as if they’re worth anything.

Give your shopping bag a little meaning, make it worth something. That’s why I made these. They are hand sewn from white bottomweight fabric and the red “thank you” screen print actually means “Thank You”. Thank you for using this bag instead of a thousand plastic bags, thank you for washing it and reusing it.

The bags are made to order and available in black also!

Rachel Warne

Wow! I'm totally serious when I say that I cannot get over Rachel Warne's photography. All completely outstanding. I couldn't possibly pick any less then a dozen favorites. Click the link above and check out her website, I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

The Four Seasons

I really love this photo, "Four Seasons 2" by Natureluv on Flickr. It's such a lovely spot and they're all such lovely pictures. And each I think is showing it's season perfectly. I especially love the Autumn one. Of course that probably has something to do with the fact that I love the season itself so much.

What's your favorite season? Is it the spring with it's many flowers, singing birds and new life? The summer with it's warmth, perfectly green trees and fireflies? The autumn like me, with it's fall colors on every tree, pumpkins, and flocks of migrating birds? Or the winter with it's beautiful snow, bare trees and peacefulness?

P.S. "Four Seasons" is also quite beautiful

My Corner of the World in March

It sure doesn't seem as if it could be April already. March went by too fast. But I suppose I say that every month. Still it's true. I'm glad for April though. April means azaleas (which are already budding in our yard!), warmer weather, tulips and just more spring beauty. As for March, it was wonderful. The Bradford Pears were everywhere (see photos 8 and 13) and the daffodils quite abundant too as well as Saucer Magnolias, Star Magnolias, Camellias and so many more. And the birds were everywhere as well singing up a storm. The trees budding, the sky blue and the sun up until 7:00pm. You gotta love spring!

P.S. I couldn't help having just a few more than normal. There were just too many. Which are your favorites?

1 Year

I almost forgot, it's Still Burning's birthday. It's now been exactly one year since my first blog post. Man I've changed a lot since then. With this blog, with my life, everything. The blog then was like totally different from what it is now. Really it's totally different from what it was back in October and November too, when I started back up again. I like what it is now, whatever that is. And hopefully this next year of blogging is going to be better then the last. I think it will.

P.S. Once again I kind of violated the no posting on weekends rule but hey, I couldn't help it. I'm a sucker for anniversaries and birthdays. Besides, it's my rule I can brake it if I want to, right?

Links for the Easter Weekend

Hello all. So what are your plans this weekend? Are you going to be doing anything fun for Easter? I don't really have any diffident plans but I'm sure we'll do something. Dye some eggs, make those fun and delicious resurrection rolls, and maybe we could even have a little Easter egg hunt for my little brother and sister. Well anyhow, on to the links.

I can't stop watching this video. (You can call me weird if you want.)

Totally loving these gorgeous flower pictures.

Now that's different. It might be good but it's still different.

Creative wedding invitations.

I'm totally in agreement with this post's title (and love it's contents too).

I'm really lovin' this look.

I can't get over this cake. So cute!

Green, Green, Green!

Happy April Fools Day!

Well, Happy April Fools day! Anyone planning any funny tricks? My mom already tried to get me this morning and had me for a little while too. She told me I'd been sleeping late and that it was 1:00 when it was really just 11:00. She had even set the clock forwarded to 1:00. But "The Price is Right" was on and I knew that didn't come on at 1:00 so she was caught. I guess that's proof I watch too much TV.
