Floral Print Suitcases

Loving these suitcases from Liberty. At first I thought they were just a little too girly for me but then I thought about it and suddenly I could definitely see myself carrying one of these around. So pretty and fun!

My Corner of the World In August

Ah Crape Myrtle trees! I keep forgetting how long they last and also how much I love them. What would a Virginian summer be without them? Other August favorites include more Black-eyed Susans and more of the ultimate they-last-forever flower, the Trumpet Flower. And of course, it's not just about the flowers. There's that warm weather, picking tomatoes, buzzing bumble bees, sweet summer rainstorms, singing cicadas, dragonflies, all kinds of wonderful summer stuff. Still though I'm very happy September's here.

Autumn Wedding Bouquet

I think part of my love for this bouquet may come from the fact that I'm a sucker for magnolia leaves and it's got tons of them but still I think the whole thing is gorgeous. Just look at it?

My Corner of The World in July

Okay, first of all I am very sorry this is so late. The reason is a pretty long story. You see, I thought I had lost all of my photos from July when my computer crashed (and kept forgetting to mention that) but as it turned out some of the pictures on my camera where taken in July. Only I didn't know that until I took them all off of my camera the other day. So I didn't even bother to take all of the pictures off before. So, once again, I'm very sorry and next month (which isn't far away now) I'll be sure to post the "My Corner of the World In" for August on either the first or the second.















P.S. No street picture! I'm devastated. This is two months now that don't have one for, February and now July. Oh well, maybe next year I'll get it all right.

Adorable Engagement Session

Oh my aren't these engagement pictures lovely? The flowers, cowboy boots, the color scheme, adorable country setting, the amazingly sweet couple, everything. I love it! Can't wait to see what there wedding in September will be like.

Crochet Flowers

Confession: I hate, detest, can't stand fake flowers. Okay, maybe it's not that bad, but it's close. There's just something about them that just gets to me. (Please tell me I'm not alone here?)

But these crochet flowers, I love. Maybe it's because their so fake that it's okay. Maybe with me I need to either have the real thing or something that's totally off. But then really, from a distance these actually look quite real, don't you think? Hmm, well for whatever reason I liked them and just thought I'd share them with you all. Aren't they pretty?

Green Door

I am so adoring the front of this lovely 1810 house. The big tree, the gorgeous bricks, the hydrangea bushes and of course the totally rad green door. Isn't it great?

Gorgeous Wedding Cake

I think I almost fainted when I first saw this outstanding cake the other day. In fact I think it might be the most beautiful wedding cake I've ever seen. Just look at that feverfew (which I've really been admiring lately), that rosemary and that lady's mantle! And all on a white backdrop. It all looks so lovely together. I think it's perfect.

My Corner of the World in June

Firstly, I'm so sorry that this is so late. We're already a week into July. I must start remembering. Anyhow, this June was an fantastic month here in my corner of the world. Plenty of Black-eyed Susans, blooming Crape Myrtle trees, Coneflowers, sunflowers, hydrangea, magnolia and lavender. I even spotted some late-blooming Wisteria! Aside from the flowers there was also big blue skies, green trees and lots of beautiful birds. Here's some pictures from the beautiful month.

Colonial Nursery

I know I say it all the time but man, I just love Williamsburg. I think it's pretty safe to say that it's my favorite place in the world. So filled with beautiful architecture, outstanding gardens, history and just a wonderful atmosphere. It's just perfect to me. Oh how I long to live there one day. But at least I'm close. Anyhow, here are some pictures from the beautiful Colonial Nursery.
