My Corner of the World in November

Okay so I still don't quite have the hang of the whole not-just-nature thing yet. Maybe it'll be better next month.

As for this month though, it was absolutely filled with color. Especially the third week in the month. So trying to read biology in the car that Thursday was a little impossible, kept having to look up at the trees (what can I say, I just love autumn). Unfortantly I could not nearly do it justice with my camera but the pictures at least turned out okay.

My Corner of the World in October (With a Twist)

Being the one year anniversary of "My Corner of the World In" I've decided to start doing it a little different. Instead of only having pictures revolved around nature why not have a few others. There's nothing in the title that implies otherwise. If I want to post a picture of a swimming pool in July, a mug of hot chocolate in February or my Jack-o-Lantern painted nails in October why not do so? It's not only natural photography I want to improve but all types. Now granted, the majority of these are like the normal but there are a few others and hopefully next month will be even better.

Come With Me

This Come With Me print by The Poppy Tree has completely captured my heart. It makes me think of all the things I love about Halloween and autumn. And it's so beyond beautiful too.

The 1010 Project

Feeling so inspired by the 1010 project right now. Such a great idea and such a great outcome. 10 photographers from all around the globe, 10 pictures each, all taken on 10/10/10. Is that genius or what?

Autumn Decortaing

Oh man, I wish I could get my house looking like this. So pretty and awesome! Couldn't you see a line of cute little trick-or-treaters standing right outside this door? I think at first I thought it wasn't quite Halloweenish enough for me but then I reconsidered, it's just perfect. But then our house looks pretty perfect right now too (so abandoned-chic) so I'm happy.

A Fine Frenzy - Come On, Come Out

I can't get over this lovely autumn-y video. Such pretty colors, such amazing composition and a fabulous song. It made my day.

Jacket Season

It's getting to be that time of year again. Today is the first day of October and the days are going to start being a little more chilly now. Not too cold at first though thankfully, just cold enough to bring out all those jackets we've all been dying to start wearing again. (At least I have!) So I thought this would be the perfect time for me to post some of the jackets I've seen lately all around the world wide web that I've fallen head over heels for.

Links for the First Fall Weekend (I Hope Yours is Awesome!)

Firstly sorry, I'm so late. I've been pretty busy today. Secondly, happy Friday! Any plans for this first fall weekend? I'll be walking (looking for changing leaves though they don't usually come this early, you can always be hopeful!), working on getting some closets and drawers cleaned out, finally watching my two movies from Netflix so that I can send them back and celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday on Sunday with an apple-y dessert. Meanwhile, here's some links!

Things I want: this anchor necklace.

I can almost guarantee this will make you want to go to garage sales more often.

These candy pouches are so cute, don't you think?

A city made of staples.

I'd be all for eating on these.

Some super cool jewelry.

Ribbon art (I really love the seal).

Ooh, Halloween cards.

An awesome autumn hair style: Heidi braids.

Creative s'mores.

Happy First Day of Autumn!

Funny, I was thinking yesterday was the first day of autumn. But I was wrong, it's today. I can't believe I could get such an important date wrong! Oh well, happy autumn everybody! Get ready for changing leaves, pumpkins, cooler weather, football, jackets, Halloween, autumn picnics, apple cider... But then, I could go on forever.

Autumn Wedding Bouquet

I think part of my love for this bouquet may come from the fact that I'm a sucker for magnolia leaves and it's got tons of them but still I think the whole thing is gorgeous. Just look at it?

APC Fall Collection

Can you believe it's already time to start talking about fall collections? I'm both excited and sad about this. Excited because autumn is my favorite beyond favorite time of year and I'm so looking forward to it, a little sad because I've really been enjoying summer and I kind of don't want to see it go (plus I have yet to have all the picnics I originally wanted to have nor worn all of the sundresses I had planed to wear).

But however, as I said before, autumn is very good and I'm totally looking forward to it. And not only because of the season itself but also for the clothes we all finally get to wear. Like the stuff in APC's Fall collection here. Isn't it stunning? I especially love the velvet pants and shorts and those tops the models are wearing them with. But really I think everything's great.

An Autumn Wedding

I've never particularly liked Autumn weddings (though Autumn is by far my favorite season, don't ask me why I've just never liked weddings in that season) but this one of Emily and Colby is a true exception. I mean, if I were every going to have a wedding in Autumn it would definitely be something like this. For one thing it's very nature oriented and so incorporating all the beautiful colors of the season. Also I just love the place it was held in, so rustic and totally awesome.
