Best Tumblr Blogs

Someone should make a list of all the coolest tumblr blog ideas. Thus far I've found a blog all about beards, a blog all for old hollywood, a blog all about cats and now a blog dedicated to awesome people hanging out together. It just keeps getting better and better baby.

Perfect Proposal

I love this so much it's happening twice. It seriously makes me giddy all over. I mean, honestly though, a guy proposed to his girlfriend like this. It's perfect! *does happy dance*

Cowbell Tree Trimming

I'm really loving the idea of trimming the tree with cowbells right now. So very charming and clever, don't you think?

Globe Chandelier

Isn't this spectacular? I want to make one. If only I had the skills to do so and a place to put it.

Pie Is Awesome

The Etsy store All Jarred Up is amazing. It's one of those, "I wish I'd thought of that" things. They send you pies in jars. How perfect is that?

Morse Code Necklace

Coatt has the neatest necklaces. They all have messages in Morse code spelled out in the beads. How awesome is that.

Sky Scarves

This brilliant idea Maria of 3191 has come up with seriously has me swooning. In Maine Maria took some fabulous pictures of the sky full of light. And to help get her and others through the dark days of winter she had the photographs turned into scarves! Gorgeous scarves to be more specific. She says, "I became fixated on capturing a momentary blanket of light, of all tones and colors, which I could hold and pull up around me when all I see is black. I wanted to feel the light. I needed to see the light. And now I feel ready. Come darkness, here we are again." I want one!

Sewing Pattern Lamp

This sewing pattern lamp reminds me of when my mom used to make doll clothes for me when I was younger. And it's so pretty. Who would have thought to make a lamp out of sewing patterns? Excepting the person who made this of course.

The 1010 Project

Feeling so inspired by the 1010 project right now. Such a great idea and such a great outcome. 10 photographers from all around the globe, 10 pictures each, all taken on 10/10/10. Is that genius or what?

A Rainbow

Is this super clever or what? I think it rocks. I wonder how my little brother and sister would feel if this magically appeared on our windshield one day?

P.S. Check out this guys football stadium idea too.

Map Quilts

Oh my goodness, this is a brilliant idea! Brooklyn-based Haptic Lab makes gorgeous quilts with maps sewn on. So the whole thing could be a map of something like Paris or New York City. And you can even custom order one. Get one of the neighborhood where you grew up, the collage campus where you met your spouse or just your favorite city or neighborhood. I'd so love to have one of Colonial Williamsburg. What would you get?

P.S. Just in case you're interested, the above ones are from top to bottom, Rome, Italy; Washington D.C; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Paris, France.

Hot Air Balloon Costume

I love creative Halloween costumes. And balloons, and color and so it's kind of natural that I would also love this hot air balloon costume, right? It may be a little extreme but hey who cares, extreme can be great, especially for Halloween. I wonder what my little sister would think of this? DIY instructions here.
