Music Monday - Death Cab For Cutie

It's Music Monday on a Tuesday today! Anyway, right now I am so happy today is finally here. I have been waiting for Death Cab For Cutie's new album for a very long time and now it's finally here. Forgive my little girlish excitement please. But in honor of the occasion, how about the music video for one of the album's songs, "You Are A Tourist" for Music Monday today? You like it too? Okay good. Did any of you all watch it live last month?

P.S. New mixtape coming up soon!

Music Monday - The Clientele

Basically, if a band has a good '60s vibe to it, they have my heart, which is why I've been a big fan of The Clientele for some time now. Everything about their sound is perfectly lovely, I can never get enough. And if this song dosen't at least have your toes tapping there's something wrong with you.

Repeat After Me

After watching much too much of The Girls With Glasses Show the other day I decied to follow their lead and try and find some cute vintage clothes on eBay. I cannot believe it took me this long, it's all so so darling. I espically fell head over heels for this charming little shop, Repeat After Me.

Music Monday - HeyKelsey

I have really been obsessing over Cover Song Archive lately and when this lovely lady singing Feist's "1234" came up I just had to take a listen. Gorgeous! So I listened more and found she had some originals out there too. This is my favorite, so pretty. Take a listen!

P.S. Other lovelies here and here.

Links for the Weekend

Hello and happy Friday! I hope your week has been wonderful. I know mine's been very lovely and I'm proud to say that I've gotten a lot done. Hopefully I can finish up everything this weekend. Lots of raking, record organizing and mixtape making I do believe is order. What are your plans for the weekend?

This store has got be going nuts lately.

Blowing bubbles sounds awesome. I haven't done that in months.

Funny book titles.

Love, love, love this little box.

I am really loving all the rabbits I've been seeing around lately.

And this just because it's awesome (and the perfect way to start out a weekend I might add.)

Weekend Plans

I think a little bit of yard sale-ing is definitely a necessity for this weekend (okay, so not a necessity, but close to it), especially after seeing these gorgeous pictures from Gemma Booth. And after the other week, scoring 100+ cool records for $5 at a yard sale - well, you know, that helps too.

Words of Wisdom

“I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down.” - Shauna Niequist

Music Monday - Chopin played by Eva Brandys

It's Music Monday with a twist here today. I have been listening to this song on repeat for a while now. It's my absolute favorite Chopin piece, too beautiful for words. And I love Eva Brandys' performance of it. It is so filled with feeling and passion. I just hope that one day I can play the piano like that. Happy Music Monday!

Butterfly Collections

I've noticed lately, especially on my tumblr, just how many butterfly collection photos I've saved up. I would very much like to start a collection like that, I do think that they are so beautiful. I've always loved butterflies. I wish I could do that whole Bright Star thing and have a butterfly garden in my room. Oh well, for now I'll just go with the photos.

Have a Perfectly Lovely Weekend!

Hello dears and happy Friday. I hope your week was filled with wonderfulness and inspiration. Mine was a little low on the latter but I'm hoping that a nice weekend will turn things around. I'll watch a few movies (perhaps Bringing Up Baby), sing a lot of things out loud and dress in some of my favorite bright, unique, funky clothes. Meanwhile a few links...

A wonderful royal wedding post.

This also made me feel very happy inside.

A summery basket backpack.

Mother's day gift guide.

Yummy looking bread and a dreamy looking Paris picture.

And some curious exhibits in the Museum of Art at BYU.
