I Want One!

I'm really loving the esty store Lovely Little Cake Stands. Such awesome (and adorable) stuff. Every one of their cake stands is handmade and totally unique. And all from carefully selected antique and thrift shops. Gee I'd love to have one.

Busch Gardens Pictures

Well we made it to Busch last weekend thankfully. And while we were there we got a pleasant surprise. Our year passes that we bought back in April last year apparently don't expire until June of this year! Talk about shock.

Furthermore, what do you think of these pictures? At one point they were normal but they've all been totally edited on my computer. I just amped up the color temperature and the contrast and either brightened or darkened it up a little depending on the picture. And what I got was this! I like it too. I might have to start doing it more often.

Adorable Backyard Wedding

First of all, I have to say that I have no idea why I have never posted anything about weddings before. I post links to posts about different weddings or wedding dresses and stuff like that but I myself have never posted anything like that. And I really don't know why. With the way I enjoy that kind of stuff it doesn't make any sense. But however, I'm starting now. And what better way to start than with this gorgeous backyard wedding found on OnceWed?

There's just something about an outdoor wedding (if done right) that I just find so beautiful and adorable. And this one, I think is no exception. These pictures are from the reception which was held in the couple, Steve and Kelly's neighbor's backyard (that's really more like a meadow than a traditional backyard). It was covered in adorable cafe lights, beautiful flowers, and extremely charming wooden tables. Such a lovely color scheme too, don't you think? When ever or if ever I get married I think I'd like to have an outdoor wedding like this. How about you all?

P.S. The ceremony was held in the bride's childhood font yard (where her parents still live). To see those picture go here.

Links For The Weekend (I Hope Yours is Super!)

Well this weekend hopefully I'll be going to Busch Gardens because it's open at last! And this year I think my dad and I might finally be able to bring my little brother along on his first real roller coaster (I think he's tall enough now). Gee I love spring! But how about you? What are your plans for the weekend?

Whoa! Wedding photos underwater. Too cool.

What an awesome vintage video.

Very fun (and creative) rings.

Such an adorable birthday idea!

A basil scented candle! Love it.

Very cute ring.

I love this awesome interview.

I think I might have to make this this weekend. Looks so good.

P.S. And yes, I think I've finally decided I'm going to try and do this every weekend.

P.S.S. Sorry that this is so late!

Williamsburg in Early Spring

We went to Colonial Williamsburg yesterday as a part of our go-to-Williamsburg-once-a-month new year's resolution and my what a contrast to when we went in January last time (we missed February). So many people! In January it's a ghost town. Now I can't decide which I like better, Williamsburg in tourist season with lots of people or non-tourist season when it's quite and peaceful. Hmmmm. But one thing I do know is that it was beautiful there yesterday. The sun was shining, the birds singing, the flowers blooming, the trees budding, signs of spring were everywhere.

A New Way To Use Crepe Paper

How about this? Sewn crepe paper. How neat! And how pretty too. Plus it's on a birthday party invitation. Honestly, the creativity of some people just astounds me.

Looking Into The Past

I'm really liking jasonepowell's Flickr photo set, Looking into the Past. It's so neat. He takes old photographs, prints them out and then holds the prints up in the modern day location that the original photograph was taken in and then snaps the picture. The results are so neat. It's sad though to see how things have changed for the worst. Still, they're fun.

Taste buds, rejoice!

Has anyone out there ever had Turkey Hill ice cream? I just had some for the first time a few days ago and now I think it's my new favorite brand. So creamy, so sweet, so perfect. I just can't get enough of it.

So far I've only had the Fudge Ripple but I'm sure the other flavors are just as good. Now I'll just have to try some of them.

Happy Spring!

Ah, it's finally officially here, Spring. And I thought these lovely images of tulip fields would be perfect for the occasion. Aren't they amazing!? It almost doesn't seem they could even be real to me. And they're so pretty too. Well, happy spring!

P.S. And yes I know that I said I wouldn't be posting on weekends anymore but I just had to ring in the new season with something.

Links For The Weekend (I Hope Yours is Great!)

I've decided now that instead of having a "Best of the Blogs" every two weeks on Sunday I'll start having a "Links For The Weekend" every other Friday. Also I think I'm going to give myself a break each weekend and not post any then like most people do.

Anyhow here are some links for your weekend:

Can you believe Easter is so close?

Though I don't think I could stand so much white, I'm so in love with this apartment.

Very cute bridesmaids dresses.

I so adore these posters.

Cute spring wreath.

Oh I can't wait to start wearing sandals again. How about you?

I've always had this thing for collages and these are just too cool.

I cannot get over this amazing spring/summer collection!

I Could Get Into This Guy

I just finished reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks and I have to say, it was really good. And believe it or not but it was the first book by him I've ever read. I don't think it'll be my last though, if the rest of his books are like this. I think I can now see why he's so popular.

I'll admit there were a few things in it I didn't like so much, some cursing for instance but overall it was a really good book. I'm now counting down the days until the movie comes out. If it's anywhere near as good as the book I think it might end up being a new favorite.

The Cooking Bug

I think I might finally be catching the cooking bug that all in my family have already had for a long time. Cooking some food is actually starting to sound fun! This is new for me. For the longest time I've been like the only one in my family who didn't enjoy it. Maybe it's just a phase, but maybe it's here to stay. Who knows?

P.S. Do you like to cook?

The Art of Breakfast

I'm really enjoying looking through Jennifer Causey's Simply Breakfast, a really cool blog that's filled with tons of photos of outrageously delicious looking breakfasts. It's really making me want to start having more of a variety when it comes to the most important meal of the day. Mmmm, these photos are making me hungry.

Best of the Blogs

Hello dear readers. Today's my grandmother's birthday. I know, ridiculously close to mine, isn't it? If only I could have waited a few days before coming into the world. Well, at least we're near. We both have the same birth stone and all. Anyhow here are some great posts from around the web.

What a fun-looking wedding!

How many breakfasts can you guess?

Now I want to go to Japan.

Funky places to sleep.

Don't you just love outrageous sand castles?

What a collection!

I must see this one day.

Big and bold.
