Green Gingham Swimsuit

I just can't get over this green gingham swimsuit from APC Madras! So lovely, don't you think?

My Favorite Places in the Outer Banks - Manteo Booksellers

Filled with cool poetry books, great coffee table books, wonderful history books, off the hook cookbooks, stunning mystery books, amazing nature books and outstanding ghost story books plus tons of other awesome books, Manteo Booksellers is beyond a doubt my favorite book store in the world. Steve Brumfield, the owner really runs a rockin' place and man, he seriously knows his stuff. He, like most of the people around the Outer Banks, did not miss his calling. You definitely don't want to miss this place.

My Favorite Places in the Outer Banks - A Penny Saved

You may not be into thrift store shopping while on vacation but no matter, A Penny Saved is a place to check out. Brand name clothes, books in stunning condition, great artwork (one of my favorite parts of the store), lovely jewelery and much more all at great prices. And then of course there's the cookie jar collection. Around 150 cookie jars (not for sale) line the shelves on the top of the walls. Pretty much every character you can imagine. Disney characters, other movie characters, fast food characters, board game characters and a ton more. (They even have the guy from Operation, my favorite I think.) You won't want to leave.

Dream Kitchen

To me, this is like the perfect kitchen or like I said in the title, my dream kitchen. That rustic feel, that gorgeous blue, those walls, the built-in shelves, and that view! I'm in love.

My Favorite Places in the Outer Banks - Shipwreck

If it's beach-y, Shipwreck has it. Whatever the style, it's there. Filled with almost every type of shell, coral, sea star and the like you can imagine, tons of modal ships and lighthouses, fun hats, witty little signs, guide books, beach-y decor, drift wood, toys and so much more it's one of the best gift shops in the Outer Banks. Shipwreck was established in 1954 and has been around ever since. Proof it rocks and has rocked for decades. Definitely a place to check out while at the Outer Banks. Did I mention they even sold Hermit Crabs?

My Corner of the World in May

First of all, I apologize for this being so late. I have had so much on my mind and I forgot all about it. Secondly, and this may come as a great shock (since I almost always say in these, something to the effect of, "oh the month went by so fast."), May actually was a lot slower than most of the months have been. I mean, I was just as happy, had just as much fun but it just went by real slow. Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy about that, I mean like amazingly overjoyed. It was great to finally have a great month that went by at a nice and slow pace. Unfortunately, I can already tell that June is not going to be like that (I think). How was your May?

My Favorite Places in the Outer Banks - Something Old, Something New

Wow! Something Old, Something New is a place to see if there ever was one. Filled with awesome vintage clothes, jewelery, accessories and shoes it's definitely the best vintage clothing store I know of. And not only do they have vintage stuff but the other side of the store is devoted to newer pieces with a vintage look to it. (See where the name comes from now?) Seriously, you can always find something rad here.

P.S. This is where I got that '60s dress I was raving about.
