Little Black Kitty Cats
Cutest thing ever? I think yes! And the great news is you can make your own. Just imagine being able to proudly say you made them yourself when your friends exclaim how adorable they are and ask where they can get a pair! Put them with just about anything for a perfect Halloween accent.

Music Monday - Dear and the Headlights
okay, so i have a very very big band crush on these guys going on. i absolutely love nearly all of their songs with extreme passion and seriously can't stop putting their stuff on mixes. i still don't understand why, like, no one talks about them, their music is positively brilliant (not to mention super fun to dance to). plus, dear and the headlights? that's a pretty hard one to beat (i have this thing about awesome band names, okay?).
p.s. bi-weekly from now on, kay? not that it isn't that already, but now it's official :)

Music Monday - Camera Obscura and Lulu and the Lampshades (A Double Feature!)
Okay, so, to make up for all the weeks I've missed, I'm doing a double feature, Camera Obscura and Lulu and the Lampshades.
Scottish Indie-Pop band, Camera Obscura, has been being blasted out from my computer for a while now and been constantly on repeat. I truly can't get enough of their peppy tunes, especially this one song, French Navy. I love it.
and because you've just gotta listen to this one too:
As for Lulu and The Lampshades, well, I seroiusly have no idea why these guys haven't gotten more buzz, they are perfect. Seriously, I couldn't pick just one video. Their music is great and they are super super creative, not only in their music but with their videos too. Definitely worth a listen (or two!).

Music Monday - Oh Land
Some of you have probably already heard of Oh Land, the lovely Danish singer with the futuristic sound who's been catching so much buzz lately. I've been a fan for a while now but never so much as lately, ever since I watched a few of her videos she did with Big Ugly Yellow Couch. (I came to the conclusion that you haven't heard Oh Land until you've heard her live.) She has to be one of the most creative and experimental artists out there right now. And plus she's got one of the most lovely voice to match! Happy Music Monday!

Words of Wisdom
“As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You’ll have your heart broken and you’ll break others’ hearts. You’ll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you’ll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you’ve never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. You just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone’s hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don’t be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.” - Unknown

Music Monday - Boy & Bear
Why have I not heard of these guys before? Ugh, so good. Of course I've always had a weak spot for Australian folk bands, but these guys are just so unique and new and fun! And I'm totally crushing on this video, pure perfection. Because who hasn't has a day when they just want to forget everything, dress up like an Indian and go chasing a buffalo? Okay, maybe that's just me, but it's still pretty awesome you got to admit. Some major creativity going on here.
p.s. new mixtape coming soon!

Music Monday - Willoughby
I'm really digging the sounds of this LA band, Willoughby lately. So chill, so mellow and brilliantly written music. Plus the lead singer's voice is perfect, I'm in love! Oh yeah, and then there's this awesome creepy music video with monsters and igors and even some really pretty dresses and hats. Check out some of there other stuff here too, it's all great.
p.s. yes, i know it's tuesday.

"Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe." - Neil Gaiman, The Sandman

Music Monday - Florence + The Machine
After reading Nylon's briliant interveiw with Florence Welch (pg. 144) the other day I have been listening to her music nonstop. I had forgotten how much I loved it! And her for that matter. And this song is pretty much garenteed to put you in a wonderful mood too!
