Back From Vacation

For those of you who don't know, my family and I went off to the wonderful Outer Banks for the week after our church's weekend conference and only just got back last night. It was a wonderful, relaxing and fun week for me which is probably just what I needed. And aside from the relaxing, I found and bought a rad orange '60s dress, a bunch of awesome records (I even scored the soundtrack to Charade by Henry Mancini, such an awesome score, such a cool movie), a real neat model ship and some other fun things too. I'm mostly over the moon about the dress though. I can't wait to start wearing it.

Anyhow, this week in honor of the Outer Banks I've decided to have a mini series all about my favorite places in the Outer Banks. So for any of you who might want to take a vacation there sometime, this will be a list of my recommendations of things you must see. Stay tuned.

Links for the Weekend (I Hope Yours Rocks!)

Well guys, what are your plans for this weekend? On Sunday I'll probably be heading out to Busch Gardens with the rest of my family. (Ben, my little brother absolutely loved Loch Ness Monster by the way. Now I don't believe that we'll be able to leave without going on that. I'm super okay with that though. Ya gotta love Loch Ness!) But that's pretty much it, other than just a little realizing. Which is good. Now, here's a few (and I do mean a few) links for your weekend.

Ah, I love this necklace.

And this one.

I may not live in New York or ever even want to, but this is still cool.

I'm so making these soon.

Summer shoes.

This reminds me of the kind of stuff I used to make at camp. Only it's much more stylish.

Pretty, pretty summer-y images.

Country style.

Lovely Little Desk

I just think this desk is too adorable. The colors, the chair, the little plants, that bird chart and that spot where it is, right there with windows on every side. That's my kind of spot. I love my desk though (my grandma's old rolltop, so cool) so it's not too hard.

Stage Cutting Board

Ah, this cutting board is so neat. I love it. I'm not very much into cooking (though for a while there...) but I seriously wouldn't mind cutting some vegetables on this guy here. So cute.

The Over-the-Top, Blows-Your-Mind, Totally Awesome Icelandic Home By The Sea

Wow, this is truthfully one of the coolest places for a house to be that I've seen. Just perched on a cliff like that. Rockin'! Wouldn't that be such an awesome place to live in? So beautiful and so fun. Just look at all that open land. Elliưaey, the southern island in Iceland is now defiantly on my list of places to see one day.

P.S. I wonder what sunsets and sunrises would look like from here?

Happy June!

By the way, happy first day of Dairy Month, Great Outdoors Month, National Adopt-A-Cat Month, National Drive Safe Month, National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, National Iced Tea Month and National Rose Month. A lot, isn't it?

Birthday Tree

Oh my, Jordan Ferney's "Birthday Tree" is so genus. Don't you agree? I mean, who wouldn't want one of these for their birthday or anniversary or just when they need cheering up. I think it's perfect and so fun! (Not to mention beautiful.) Now I want to try and make one.
