Fun Nautical Plates

I think I love just about all of the plates on Daytrip Society but I'm pretty sure these Thomas Paul ones here are my favorites. Each one of the four is stunning. And right up my alley. So very, very nautical. The rest of the shop rocks too by the way.

Links for the Weekend (I Hope it's Awesome!)

arnö

Oh man, I'm so excited for this weekend! The highly anticipated bible conference for our church is finally here. And it's sure to be totally outstanding. With bonfires, board games, swims in the pool, walks through the woods and fun Christian fellowship with our church, how could it not be outstanding. And WCRC (the place where we're going to be having it) is just so beautiful. What are your plans for the weekend?

What awesome ways to display shells!

Pretty, pretty, pretty.

Makes me long for picnics.

Irish Grandmother.

I love this fun-looking Mexican style birthday party.

Garden inspiration.

Gee, I wish I were more into sewing.

I think I'm in love with these cute brass animals.

Connect the dots thank you notes, so cool.

Haunted houseness.

Adorable lemonade favors.

Create your own chocolate bar.

The Shy Rabbit Farm.

All kinds of cool shoes.

A clever way to add green to a home.

And more cleverness. (It involves sandwiches.)

This makes me laugh. (Warning: You might just be singing bits from this song for weeks. Do not watch if this idea makes you feel uneasy.)

So in Hopes

The other day I tried honey for the first time in years. Truthfully I had forgotten how it tasted. I was so in hopes that I'd love it and that it would be a good change from the normal of putting jelly on my toast when I have it in the morning. But it was just too sweet. I mean, I'd eat it if I had too but it's just not my thing. At least I can still have the little bear bottle around. It's so cute. Do you like honey?

Can You Guess?

Anyone know right off who this is? I myself did not figure it out without help. I soon found out though that it was Taylor Swift. See it now? Yeah, I totally saw it after I read it was her. But doesn't she look outstanding? I think so.

Swedish Garden

This amazing Swedish garden has now been officially added to my list of favorite gardens of all time. It's just too outstanding. I love it. The purple and blue flowers, the sheep, the tree lined roads, everything! Isn't it great?

S'more Brownies

Oh my goodness, don't these s'mores brownies just look absolutely outstanding? And they don't even sound that hard to make. I must try them soon.

Fresh Flowers

The other day we came home from the grocery store with some beautiful peonies and statice. Now I just can't stop looking them (and smelling them too of course). They're just so pretty, especially together. And I think my mom arranged them perfectly. Don't you?

It's so nice having fresh flowers in the house though. For a while there we always had some around but after a time we just stopped. Maybe we can start up again now or at least have them around more often that we have been having them. Gotta love those fresh flowers.

Rad Kids Room

I am so very in love with this awesome room. And it's a kids room too. How neat! I think my favorite part is that wall with all the mirrors. It adds so much to the room.

Taking a Break

I decided today that I'm going to take a little break this week from the blog. I've been thinking about taking one for a while now but keep deciding not to. This time I'm finally going to do it. Everyone needs a little break sometimes, you know?

Links for the Weekend (Have a Lovely One!)

Samma nätter väntar alla

Well I tell you, for some reason this week was really slow for me. I have no idea why but each day seemed like forever. It was still a good week though all in all. But I'm looking forward to this weekend. Hopefully a trip to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens is in my future as well as a few more fun things. How about you all? What are your plans?

I'm crossing my fingers that this awesome-looking show will soon be shown in the US.

Another awesome rockstar interview!

Oh my, just look at these earrings.

Gotta love this awesome look.

Maybe the duck just likes her.

This looks like so much fun!

A pretty this and that.

Awesome business cards.

Oh, vintage cameras.

I may just have to plan a trip to Savannah one day.

I just love this!

Sharon Montrose: Animal Photographer

I'm really loving looking through Sharon Montrose's photographs right now. She just seems to capture animals in such a beautiful and awesome way I think. Just look at that grey goose and that smiling pig! All perfect in my opinion.

All the Colors of the Rainbow

This is a new one. A vintage rainbow dress. I really don't think I've ever seen anything like it before. But don't get me wrong, I think it rocks. I mean just look at those colors! And it's vintage, which makes it even more awesome. Don't you think?

Beautiful Wedding Dress

Isn't this wedding dress just too awesome? I just love it. The color, the style, and all those frills (which to tell the truth, I don't usually like). But not only the dress is amazing, check out the rest of the wedding here.

City Prints

These city prints from Spanish artist Blanca Gomez are just too fun, are they not? I peculiarly love those little men. And I think it's neat how each print has it's own different font like that. I think my favorite is the London one with that man holding the lovely little black umbrella (as a lot of you know, I just love umbrellas). What's your favorite?

A Lovely Bedroom

I really love Diana from the jewels of new york's beautiful bedroom. It's so calm and lovely. She said that her bed was a soft white because she wants "to feel like I’m waking up on a cloud every morning." Isn't that just too cool? I also love the little topiary, the soft white curtains and that awesome bicycle. (And by the way, the rest of her house is awesome too.)

Links for the Weekend (I Hope Yours Rocks!)

kitchen

My! This week has gone by so fast. Friday already, I can hardly believe it. I was hoping it would feel longer than most because of how I've been getting up so much earlier. But alas no, that just didn't help. It was still wonderful though, getting up early, and I hope to be able to continue with it. I especially love the early morning bike rides/walks right before breakfast I'm able to get now. The birds are singing, the sun is bright and it's not too warm out. I just love it! What was your week like? Anyhow, here are some fun links from around the web.

A pinwheel party!

My dad has some of these. Aren't they just too cool?

An adorable owl pitcher.

Awesome summer uniform.

Oh, I want one.

Feeling woodsy.

What an awesome birthday present!

You know, I never though of that...

Such a sweet little bench.

Tooth fairy bunnies. How cute is that?

P.S. Have a happy Mother's Day this Sunday and a wonderful rest of the weekend!

The print or the tote. Both are totally cool, don't you think?

Five Senses Friday - My Version

Today, I'm playing along with Abby Powell from Abby Try Again with the Five Senses Friday series. It looks like loads of fun (I just love that kind of stuff). But I warn you though, it probably won't be very good. Anyhow, here goes.

Seeing:

roses and honeysuckle start to bloom

Tasting:

toast with grape jelly and delicious herbal tea like I've been having every morning now for the past week

Hearing:

the score from "To Kill a Mockingbird" for the first time (Too beautiful for words, I'm close to tears. Already I'd recommend it to anyone.)

Smelling:

the roses and honeysuckle mentioned above

Feeling:

the warmth of upcoming summer

P.S. Why don't you play along too? More people should, it's great fun.

I Did It!

I finally got on a bicycle after hardly touching one for around eight or nine months today. Yeah I'm almost surprised that I still knew how to do it. I did though and it felt awesome! In fact, it felt so awesome that I've already done it twice today. Once this morning and once this afternoon. Do you enjoy bicycling?

A Secret Playroom

Man I would have just loved this as a kid. (I might even love it now.) A secret hideaway behind a wardrobe! That's just too cool.

My Corner of the World in April

What a lovely month April was. Filled with all kinds of springy goodness. Beautiful flowers, lovely singing birds, spring showers and green everywhere. I just adore that month. But May is good too and I'm looking forward to it. More springy goodness ahead.
